This live interactive online course will bring together a multidisciplinary team of leading experts to provide an intensive learning experience on managing the most common and life-threatening complications during pregnancy. Throughout this comprehensive course, participants will delve into case studies, explore evidence-based practice, and discuss key considerations to ensure optimal care and support for critically ill pregnant people.

  • Summarise the underlying pathophysiology of severe complications in critically ill pregnant patients.
  • Identify key risk factors and early warning signs associated with the most common and life-threatening complications during pregnancy.
  • Integrate the latest research findings and clinical guidelines related to the management of severe pregnancy complications.
  • Review best practices and pitfalls in managing critically ill pregnant patients through case studies.

Rural Procedural Grants Program (RPGP)

This course has been approved for a one-day Obstetrics and Emergency Medicine by the RPGP. ACRRM and RACGP Rural Generalists (RGs), Rural General Practitioners (GPs) and locum GPs may be eligible to apply for a RGPG grant of up to $1,000 to cover course costs and locum relief to participate in this course.
