Demystifying Dementia course (Session one)

NQPHN, together with Dementia Training Australia invite general practitioners and nurses working within the NQPHN region to attend this two-part webinar series. (Session two will be held on Wednesday 25 September 2024)

The Demystifying Dementia online course provides a practical and step-wise approach to improving knowledge, skills, and confidence in recognising, diagnosing, and managing dementia in the general practice setting.

Session one learning outcomes

  • Recognise features of dementia and cognitive impairment.
  • Explain the trajectory of dementia and cognitive impairment.
  • Apply the inclusion and exclusion criteria frameworks in assessing patients for a possible diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Dementia.
