Frailty and multimorbidity

Multimorbidity with frailty is common, and both have been associated with the risk of disability, hospitalisation and mortality, and increased health-related costs in the elderly population. (1,2) Age, sex, and socioeconomic position are reported risk factors, but management should have a patient-centred, multidisciplinary approach.(3) Learn how to prioritise care decisions and apply strategies that enhance patient–clinician communication.
