A pre-travel consultation and rabies vaccination update

Posted Tuesday 26 November 2024 | Sanofi Vaccines

Sanofi invites you to an online webinar to update you on pre-travel consultation clinical guidelines and recent changes to recommendations for pre-exposure rabies vaccinations.

The pre-travel consultation is essential for identifying travel related risks, educating the traveller about specific travel hazards, and providing prevention strategies such as vaccinations, medications, and other recommendations that may be useful for the traveller.

Rabies is a fatal disease once symptoms appear. Rabies can be prevented by avoiding animals when possible and vaccination. Travellers to rabies-endemic areas should discuss rabies risk with their healthcare professional to guide whether rabies pre-exposure vaccination is required.1,2

This webinar is relevant for healthcare professionals such as GPs, nurses, and pharmacists who immunise, and any healthcare professional with an interest in pre-travel consultation and travel immunisation.
