Updated STI/BBV testing tools for asymptomatic people
In the context of rising gonorrhoea and syphilis notifications, the Queensland Health sexually transmissible infection (STI) and blood borne virus (BBV) testing tool has been updated and is available for use in primary care now. The revision includes new recommendations for asymptomatic men who have sex with men, and other clinical feedback.

Indigenous health-centred Diploma of Leadership and Management
The second learning retreat for the Indigenous Health-Centred Diploma of Leadership and Management was recently held in Cairns.
In recognition of the significant Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workforce in the NQPHN region, a collaboration with Health Workforce Queensland (HWQ) and Health Industry Training (HIT) was established. HWQ funded places under their Bursary Program, and HIT developed and provided the training for this course.
