Would you like to improve the cardiovascular health of your patients?

The Heart Foundation is now looking for the next group of passionate health professionals to take part in their Health Professional Ambassador Program in 2021.

The Heart Foundation are inviting all health professionals (Pharmacists, Exercise Physiologists, Dieticians, Practice Nurses, hospital-based Nurses, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health care workers, etc) who are passionate about improving cardiac health in primary and secondary care to apply to the annual program. Together we can support the prevention, early detection, and better management of cardiovascular disease.

The free professional development program is offered via face-to-face (in Brisbane) and digital workshops and can earn you CPD points. Regional, rural and remote health professionals are strongly encouraged to apply.

Workshops will upskill you in the prevention and treatment of patients living with or at risk of heart disease and offers:

  • mentoring and ongoing ambassador opportunities with the Heart Foundation
  • education from experts about the latest evidence
  • updates from the Heart Foundation’s latest resources and programs
  • valuable professional networking opportunities
  • support to complete a workplace quality improvement project.
