The team met with practice managers from across the Tablelands region to network and discuss current challenges facing rural primary care providers. The practice managers were grateful to receive information on available support and the opportunity to meet with other practice managers in the area.
Alice Street Medical Practice Manager Maddie Shaw said the networking lunch was extremely valuable.
“The networking that occurred was more beneficial than attending a three-day practice managers conference recently,” Maddie said.
“Thanks so much for arranging it!”
Primary Care Engagement Officer Claire Lawless has been visiting the practice managers in the Tablelands for over 12 months now.
“It is important for NQPHN to visit our rural and remote practice managers and show our continued support,” Claire said.
“The relationships they form with other practice managers at these meetings is invaluable.”
The Primary Care Engagement Team will continue to host the network meetings which are highly regarded by the practice managers as a great opportunity to connect, provide peer support, and share knowledge.
