The Initial Assessment and Referral-Decision Support Tool (IAR-DST) is an evidence-based tool developed to support general practitioners (GPs) to take a consistent, standardised, and evidence-informed approach to mental health referrals.
Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) invites GPs, GP registrars, service providers, clinicians, and lived experience members to participate in training in the Department of Health and Aged Care’s initiative, the Initial Assessment and Referral-Decision Support Tool. This training introduces a decision framework to complement clinical judgment and assessment in supporting patients seeking mental health assistance.
GPs and GP Registrars may be eligible for a $300 reimbursement and 2 CPD Points upon successful completion of the training.
This is a RACGP, AHPRA, and /or ACRRM-approved CPD activity.
