The Initial Assessment and Referral-Decision Support Tool (IAR-DST) is an evidence-based tool developed to support general practitioners (GPs)and other Mental Health clinicians, to take a consistent, standardised, and evidence-informed approach to mental health referrals.
NQPHN invites GPs, GP registrars, service providers, clinicians, and lived experience members to participate in training in the Department of Health and Aged Care’s initiative, the Initial Assessment and Referral-Decision Support Tool. This training introduces a decision framework to complement clinical judgment and assessment in supporting patients seeking mental health assistance.
This is a RACGP, AHPRA, and /or ACRRM-approved CPD activity.
GPs and GP Registrars may be eligible for a $300 reimbursement and 2 CPD Points upon successful completion of the training.
