Monash Obstetrics and Gynaecology is running a short course on Maternal Medicine, facilitated by A/Prof Kirsten Palmer on Saturday 6 May 2023.
This short course will provide an update on a number of maternal medical conditions, how they are impacted by pregnancy and what impacts on pregnancy they can have, as well as broad management principles. We have leading physician specialists in their fields to provide the latest advice, together with members from the Monash Health Maternal Fetal Medicine team who will summarise the key considerations in pregnancy care with real-world case scenarios.
This course will cover commonly encountered medical disorders across the following major systems:

Cardiology

Nephrology
-
Haematology
-
Respiratory
-
Diabetes
-
Rheumatology
-
Infectious disease
-
Gastroenterology
-
Neurology.
This multidisciplinary and interactive course is largely targeted at GPs, Obstetrics and Gynaecology consultants and trainees, and midwives. All presentations will be recorded and participants will have access to the recordings for three months after the course date.
