SmartClinics Smithfield is seeking a casual Registered Nurse to deliver high quality patient outcomes within our GP medical centre.

SmartClinics is Queensland's leading operator of General Practice (GP) medical centres, with 25 practices located across Cairns, Townsville, Brisbane, Ipswich, and the Gold Coast. We also have a Clinic in Devonport, Tasmania. Our aim is to make quality healthcare more accessible and convenient, ensuring our patients can seek medical care when and where they need it. 

Primary responsibilities

• Assist with GP management plans.
• Assist with healthcare assessments.
• Immunisations for children/adults.
• Travel vaccinations.
• Wound management.
• Pre-employment medicals including: Drug testing, audiology, spirometry.
• Workplace injuries from local industrial areas.
• ECG.
• Assisting GPs with treatment room duties.
• Planning and management of patient care and patient advocacy.
• Infection control management.
• Chronic disease management.

Desired skills and experience

• Current AHPRA Registration.
• Experience using Best Practice an advantage.
• Current CPR (BSL) Certificate.
• Previous GP experience preferred but not essential.
• Demonstrated ability to work well within a team.
• Well developed interpersonal and communication skills. 
• Computer skills – sound knowledge.
