Updated STI/BBV testing tools for asymptomatic people
In the context of rising gonorrhoea and syphilis notifications, the Queensland Health sexually transmissible infection (STI) and blood borne virus (BBV) testing tool has been updated and is available for use in primary care now. The revision includes new recommendations for asymptomatic men who have sex with men, and other clinical feedback.

Sexual health update
On 19 November 2020, Dr Clare Heal (Professor – Department of General Practice and Rural Medicine, James Cook University School of Medicine) in association with Australasian Society for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, and Sexual Health Medicine (ASHM), presented the last of the Northern Queensland Primary Health Network (NQPHN) SIT education webinars in a series focusing on sexual and reproductive health.
