Bolton Clarke’s Occupational Therapists conduct assessments and implement interventions for clients to support them with activities that are centred around their health, happiness, independence, interests, and choices.

Tasks include but not limited to:

  • providing high quality assessment and intervention
  • conducting home based assessments including all areas of activities of daily living, mobility, and home safety
  • ensuring integrated service delivery and follow up, coordinating and communicating as required with other internal, visiting, and external providers
  • incorporating a holistic approach to health care that incorporates health promotion activities
  • working closely with their teams and stakeholders to support regular review and progress of clients, ensuring feedback is provided to staff in implementing changes in response to identified gaps
  • providing education and in-services to staff.

Gold City Medical Centre has the opportunity for a GP to join their practice. The practice is an established rural medical practice centrally located with excellent support facilities and a friendly team.   

Charters Towers is located 136km west of Townsville and central to coastal and country attractions in the region. The town has a large beef and mining history, and three private boarding schools.

Gold City Medical Centre has been established for more than 30 years and is owned by the Practice Principals Dr Kevin Zischke and Dr Jean Covey.  Both are supervisors for John Flynn and James Cook university registrars, rural doctor interns, and medical students.

The practice offers a wide variety of services including family health, pre-employment medical examinations and associated tests, skin checks and a treatment clinic, vaccinations clinics, chronic disease management, and health assessments. The practice has visiting specialist and allied health services, an audiologist, cardiologist, diabetes educator, echocardiogram, geriatrician, renal physician, orthopaedic surgeon, nurse practitioner, and a sonographer (USS). There are two pathology centres in close proximity. 

Charters Towers Hospital is less than 1km from the practice; with 30 beds, allied health, community and mental health, and visiting specialist services. The Townsville Hospital is the nearest tertiary health service.

  • Renumeration Income range: $88,000 to $150,000
  • Require AHPRA registration and at least two (2) years minimum relevant work experience
  • Mixed billing practice.
  • Full nursing and administration support – full time practice manager, nurse support, and reception.
  • Nursing home visits with a geriatrician, RMO, and nurse practitioner support.
