Pioneer Medical Centre has been providing rooms for doctors to service the community in the Mackay area for close to 30 years. Located in the beautiful coastal city of Mackay, Pioneer Medical is in a desirable location, with plenty of parking and a purpose-built building. Close by are the public, private, and rehab hospitals and the Icon Cancer Centre.

General Practitioners with no supervision requirements

  • Room rent/service fees, weekly at 15 per cent, first month, moving to 25 per cent in the second month and then 35 per cent ongoing (conditions apply).
  • Relocation grants are possible for the right candidate.

Wuchopperen is a Community Controlled Aboriginal Health Organisation providing holistic health care services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of Cairns. 

  • Full time, Permanent.  
  • Based in Edmonton. 
  • Salary: $95,946–$102,791. 

The Midwife/Registered Nurse is responsible for providing culturally appropriate antenatal and postnatal care with the aim of improving the health status of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women during their pregnancy and birth continuum. 

This position is also responsible for supporting the delivery of effective screening, assessment, and follow up registered nurse services. 

The successful applicant will hold a nursing degree with a postgraduate in Midwifery together with a current registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), preferably with a Queensland immunisation endorsement. Recent practical experience within a community health setting is highly desirable.
